STL-Allocator

C++ - library that facilitates use of the Standard Template Library in shared memory (Linux)

Shared memory renders the use of variables, data structures and objects among several processes possible. With the help of the library provided here shared memory can be accessed using a C++ class. Semaphores and mutexes are encapsulated with C++ classes as well. Using a simple memory allocator, individual variables and objects can be stored in a shared memory segment. Employing the mentioned classes, a non-default STL-allocator makes it possible to use objects out of the Standard Template Libraray (STL) amongst several processes. For example "map", "set", and "vector" objects can be read and changed out of several processes. No change at all is necessary within the STL-library itself.
