DynFlex – Dynamisierung und Flexibilisierung von Planverfahren in der Stadtplanung durch Informations- und Kommunikationssysteme

Description

The planning and approval processes in Germany always need much time and furthermore are often not flexible so as to enable to satisfy the dynamic demands in reality. This also applies to a town plan which is used to achieve strategically sustainable development in one municipal region. Through the demographic alteration, the plan may lose the initial meaning because of the fallow or unoccupied area development as well as the economic structural transformation. Thus the whole plan needs to be reintegrated and adjusted as new case arises.

Goal

The project mainly focuses on how to adapt the planning process temporally (Dynamisierung) and in content (Flexibilisierung) to the mutating conditions of the region development.

Therefore the information and communication systems should be employed. They can on one hand support the shared information management for the different participants during the period of planning process, on the other hand improve the simulation and visualization of the plan contents.

Investors

Financed by Foundation of Rheinland-Pfalz for Innovation werden im this research project is now being developed by the Prof Dr.-Ing G Steinebach, and Prof. Dr. P Müller to offer some proposals for the improvements to the town planning process.
